Actor Humaima Malick, who acted alongside Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi in the 2014 film Raja Natwarlal, shared that she is criticised and trolled for it, even nine years later. Given how people curse and make fun of Hashmi’s name, the Legend of Maula Jatt star joked that Pakistanis have already washed all of his sins.
Malick made a guest appearance on YouTuber Moin Zubair’s podcast where the host asked the “one thing that is asked in every interview.” Speaking about Hashmi, the Bol actor sang praises, “He’s an amazing guy. He’s a fantastic actor, a fabulous human being, and a great friend,” she said.
“But I think, now Pakistanis have washed all of Emraan Hashmi’s sins. The way you all have criticised him, there are no sins left,” she laughed. “Whenever I post anything, even if it’s about Umrah, there are comments, ‘Now do you not remember Emraan Hashmi?’ And if I’m eating in a picture, then they’ll write, ‘Hm, did Emraan Hashmi eat food already?’ Come out of this mindset and stop commenting such rubbish already,” she asserted.
She also revealed that they share a religious bond together too. “He knows all the Quranic verses. We used to recite Ayahs together. Of course, he’s a practising Muslim. He’s a great human being. A man who respects his work and the people around him is a respectful person in general. He has no ill will for anyone, his heart is free from hate and impurities,” she concluded.
