Former US President Donald Trump has unveiled a unique offering for his supporters, announcing the sale of pieces from the suit he wore in his mugshot photo taken during his booking on racketeering charges in Georgia. 

This initiative is part of a broader sale of non-fungible token (NFT) “digital trading cards,” each priced at $99. The twist is that customers purchasing 47 of these digital cards will not only receive the digital versions but also a physical card containing an authentic fragment of the suit that Trump wore in the infamous mugshot.

In a video posted on Truth Social, the social media platform Trump has aligned with, the former president expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative, stating, “It was a great suit, believe me, a really good suit. 

It’s all cut up, and you’re gonna get a piece of it.” This move follows the success of Trump’s previous venture into the world of NFTs with the release of his “TRUMP DIGITAL TRADING CARDS” in late 2022.

In a post accompanying the video announcement, Trump wrote, “Due to the great Excitement and Success of my previous TRUMP DIGITAL TRADING CARDS, we’re doing it again – The MugShot Edition, available RIGHT NOW.” 

He also sweetened the deal, stating, “Buy 47 cards and get a piece of the suit I wore for the ‘Mugshot Photo’ and also get an invite to a Gala Dinner with me at Mar-a-Lago!”

The $4,653 package includes the aforementioned dinner with Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago club and residence in Palm Beach, Florida. The dinner event, likely to attract fervent Trump supporters, adds an experiential element to the NFT sale.

Trump’s mugshot was taken in August at Fulton County Jail in Georgia, making him the first former US president to undergo such a process. He faces 13 felony counts related to accusations of conspiring to overturn his 2020 election loss in Georgia. 

Despite pleading not guilty and dismissing the charges as part of a political witch hunt, Trump has capitalised on the mugshot, previously launching a line of merchandise, including T-shirts and mugs, featuring the slogan “NEVER SURRENDER.”
